Book Hunt 004, 005 & 006

So these are like three book hunts combined. So many good finds in just a couple of weeks. I mean, do you guys remember The Rainbabies and The Talking Eggs?! Each of those books cost me less than $1. Who knew nostalgia was so cheap.

I’m in dire need of more shelf space. I used to think that people who collected snow globes and Precious Moments figurines were silly, but I’ve become one of them.

Funny, I found an old collectible/toy store by Ala Moana recently & was just as giddy as you when I started buying random cool stuff like ninja turtles & simpsons figurines. LOL. Lots of Calvin & Hobbes/Far Side/Dilbert books have also been showing up all over my place these days.

Have you ever seen those crazy Neil Gaiman/Dave McKean collaborative children books? I’ve been collecting those for a while. “Crazy Hair,” “Wolves in the Walls” & “The Day I Swapped my for 2 Goldfish” are my fav’s.

    • Dude, I totally flipped through “Wolves in the Walls”! It was fascinating and then I realized he also illustrated one of my all-time favorite books – Coraline! Also Ben is obsessed with Calvin & Hobbes. He once said that our future kid’s nursery will be ENTIRELY Calvin & Hobbes themed. I thought he was joking but now I’m not so sure…

You have one of my favorites! The True Story of the Three Little Pigs! And how we love Oh! The Places You’ll Go! That’s actually what I bought Dan for graduation! :-)

    • That’s the perfect book to buy for graduation! And I definitely wanted to buy “The True Story of the Three Little Pigs” because it’s one of the few books that Ben actually requested (he loved it as a kid). Tell Dan CONGRATS for us!
